Meet Salome
Standing on her rented street corner in Kenya, working to attract the attention of a man who might pay, Salome was approached by a woman with an invitation of a very different sort.
Ten minutes later, listening to girls just like her as they shared their stories of escape to a new life, Salome hoped that she too could leave her street corner for good. To her surprise, after the impromptu meeting, the women paid her wages and provided a hotel for her to rest and consider all she had heard.
One year later, after accepting the invitation into the Daughters of Destiny program, Salome oversees 12 salons and employs 20 other women who followed in her footsteps. Salome’s year was filled with discipleship, forgiveness, freedom from shame, and restoration. Another woman rescued that night was asked to describe her life change, she said “I was redeemed… How do you compare heaven and hell?"
